The project is located in the heart of western Sydney and includes two buildings providing 72 new independent living units over three levels atop a single level basement car park, serviced by 6 serviced lifts and is incorporated into the existing Nelson Grove Stage Retirement Living complex.
Nelson Grove’s design is sympathetic to the site’s existing development, the State Environmental Planning Policy (No. 65) and the Apartment Design Guide, all without compromising on the future resident’s needs. The two buildings are detached, well-spaced and are arranged in a north south and east west configuration ensuring that both Driftway Drive and Griffins Avenue are addressed. The development is also finished in an appropriate style for its demographic yet remaining contemporary, fitting in with the surrounding residential and employment precincts. The external façade includes rendered and featured brick with featured stone cladding where appropriate, with the internals finished with colours & textures to help make the residents feel right at home.
With a range of high quality 1 and 2 bedroom units, some with additional study space, the new spacious open plan units include secure parking, double glazed windows and a 24-hour emergency call system and access to all the facilities of Nelson Grove, such as the bustling club house, a salon, and a heated pool.
