The build features innovative dementia design principles and offers residents a range of recreational, social and health services provided by experienced and qualified staff. The site and rooms are specifically designed to provide care tailored to the individual needs of each resident in a home-like environment.
There are six connected wings and all areas open to internal courtyards which connect to the beautiful gardens. Some of the courtyards containing water features, garden beds, gardening sheds, pergolas and seating throughout. Two of the wings are specialised dementia wings designed to enhance the quality of life for those affected.
The building also includes a commercial kitchen and laundry, three food serveries, general amenities such as hairdresser, physio and chapel, as well as staffing areas.
The Building has been designed to comply with the requirements such as BCA Building Classification, SEPP (Seniors Living) , State & Local Governments and authority requirements.
The Residential Care building is an extension of the existing Anglicare Chesalon Retirement Village.
