The Gold Coast WesleyCare facility was completed in February 2012 and has been home to many young people with high care needs who, instead of facing a future in aged care, will now be able to receive the care and lifestyle support that they need in dignified and age-appropriate surrounds.
Construction was a combination of structural steel, timber frames & trusses with light weight cladding on conventional concrete footing and slabs with all construction planning was designed around an existing protected 150 year old tree. Operational facilities include a commercial kitchen, support staff amenities, nurse call system, 24/7 care by professional nurses, gym, rehabilitation facilities and parking.
